Fasting can really deprive your skin of nutrients and hydration and by the end of this month, your skin glowing can look quite drained. We’re here with a few tips that will help you keep your skin and shape and will prepare you to look flawless on Eid.
Keep up with your skincare
While fasting makes us all lazy and lethargic, we tend to deviate away from our routine as well and can give up on our beauty regimes due to sheer laziness. Be sure to never skip on your skincare as it can already suffer due to a lack of food that you’re putting in your body.
Exfoliate your skin glowing twice a week to keep your pores clean and to keep the blood circulation active. Use masks that are hydration and moisturizing for your skin. Besides all this, take multivitamins and all other essential supplements so that your body does not get weak during this month.
Get an adequate amount of sleep
Getting a proper amount of sleep may do you more good than any anti-aging cream or treatment. This is because when you are sleeping, your cells tend to repair themselves and make new ones.
Moreover, during sleep time, your whole body is going through a process of repair and rejuvenation. It’s not necessarily important to get long hours of sleep, a good quality 7 to 9 hours of sleep will do you equally well.
If you want your skin to look hydrated and radiant then invest your body in foods that are rich in natural antioxidants. Increase the intake of fruits such as berries, dark chocolate, nuts, pomegranate, etc in both iftar and sehri to increase your fiber intake as well which will help you stay longer for longer and you won’t crave eat oily and unhealthy stuff.
These foods are a rich source of vitamins and minerals which will keep you healthy from inside out.
Load up on water
You’ve probably heard this a gazillion times before but this is as true as it can get. Maintain a routine of drinking at least eight glasses of water between sehri and iftar time. Cut down and avoid as much as carbonated sodas or sugary beverages rather than drink natural juices.
Drinks like coconut water, carrot juice, or any green juice have very low sugar content and can help you stay hydrated for longer as well. These fruit juices will help boost your immune system and flush out any toxins from your body while keeping you hydrated all day.
