This beauty tool has seemed to gain a firm foothold in the beauty industry. Ever since it made its first appearance. It’s surely not wrong to do so because the result it gives and the comfort it provides is truly all worth it. Well, if you tend to disagree with that then certainly there’s something that you’re doing wrong with it. But don’t worry we’re here today to walk you through all that has to do with a beauty blender so let’s dive in!
Wet your blender
This is the most basic part of using a blender and some people use a dry blender and complain that it doesn’t work. Beauty blender only gives you the desired results once it is wet. Simple run it down some water and squeeze it until it is wet from inside out. You will notice that the blender will increase in size and that is when it is ready to use.
Squeeze out the water well
Make sure once you’re done with dampening your blender that you squeeze out all the excess water and leave your beauty blender just damp. Finish off with wiping your blender with either a tissue or a clean towel to take off excess moisture from the surface of the sponge which might affect the application of your makeup.
Tap it on your face
This is a basic misconception when it comes to how a beauty blender. This sponge is bigger in volume and can absorb the product in it rather than apply it on your face if used in the wrong way. The tapping mothing evenly distributes the foundation all over your face. Whereas if you swipe in on your face, it will leave foundation streaks on your face and absorb too much of your foundation.
Moreover, rather than applying the foundation directly on the sponge. Dot it onto your skin or pump it onto a makeup pallet so that you can apply as much foundation. As you want as when the foundation is dispensed directly onto the sponge then the sponge tends to absorb most of the product.
Wash it up
Now that we’re done with the application part. Let’s move onto the care process of the sponge. Because the sponge is so dense in volume. This makes it an excellent ground for bacteria buildup. Make sure you wash your beauty blender after every application.
Normal bar soap or shampoo will just do the job right as all you want to do is get the product out until the water comes out clear from the blender. Rub it gently with soap and then rinse under water until the blender is clean from inside out.
Dry your sponge
Again, due to its dense volume. A wet or damp beauty blender will make the perfect home for mold and bacteria. Once you’re done with washing your blender, squeeze all the water out and dry it with a clean towel afterward.

Do not store your blender into its box or your makeup box until it’s not completely dry. Leave it out under the fan or in the open air until it completely dries. You will know that your blender has dried once it shrinks down to its original size.
