Perfect DIY banana mask for winters

Ali Khan by Ali Khan

With the winter season on the peak, a lot of the moisture is pulled out of our skin during this time. Our skin requires much more care and moisturizing at this time of the year than at any other time.  Whether you are outside in the cold or the rain, or you are inside in front of the heater, the winter season is overall harsh to your skin and causes a lot of damage to it leaving it dehydrated.

This banana mask is a simple solution the will help restore great amounts of moisture into your skin. When your skin is sensitive, it is always preferable to skip out on any chemical products. Hence is it preferred that you fix your skin the natural way with some mild all-natural home remedies. This season, you have this miraculous banana mask which you can go and make right now as the ingredients are available in everyone’s’ kitchen at all times.

How to make a banana mask:

Simple you have to take one fully ripened banana. Mash it up well so it reaches a semi-solid consistency. Once you are done mashing, add one-third of a cup of yogurt into the mashed bananas. On top of it, add a tablespoon of olive oil to it as well to give it a kick of moisture. Mix all the ingredients well until they are well combined and all the lumps have been evened out.

It is important to take a fully ripened banana as it combines well and is packed with much healthier nutrients for the skin. Once you have a smooth and well-combined mixture, your mask is ready to be applied. With the help of a facial brush or a spatula, apply the mask all over your face and neck. If you have some remaining then apply it to your hands and feet as well as they also get exposed to the harsh winters.

Leave the mask onto your skin for about 15-20 minutes and then wash off with warm water. You will instantly feel your skin much softer and moisturized than before. Pat dry your skin once you have rinsed as rubbing the towel onto your face will take off the moisture.Perfect DIY banana mask for winters

Why is this mask amazing?

Bananas are packed with potassium which is a major source of restoring moisture into your skin. Moreover, bananas have Vitamin A and B and are also packed with amino acids which help to add more strength to your skin as it has been damaged by dryness before.

The amino acids also help in giving your skin glow and adding elasticity to it which helps to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and if there are any already, those are also minimized. Furthermore, the lactic acid present in the yogurt helps against acne as it takes off excessive oil from our skin and balances the pH level. Lastly, olive oil is the healthiest form of fats hence it moisturizes your skin enough but does not also clog your pores at the same time.

Hence with all such great benefits do give this mask a try if you are dealing with the problem of dry and dull skin!
