With the aging process going on with us, we have to take care of ourselves at all times while taking it up a notch as the time passes.
The teenage years are the ones where we can skip moisturizing and SPF and still go out without having to worry about covering any age marks or lines but it is important to do that in that time to prevent those things in future and as we age it is compulsory to take care of your skin to slow the aging process.
Investing only a few extra minutes each day for your own care can have miraculous results and we are here to talk about some of the healthy habits which help you stay forever glowing and fresh!
Go to sleep with a clean face
We all go to sleep with a clean and relaxed mind as it is not possible for us to fall asleep when we have things on our mins and once we fall asleep only then the rejuvenation process begins. The same is the case with our skin. Our skin cannot regenerate new cells when it is covered with heavy makeup at night and the pores are all clogged up.
During sleep is when our brain triggers the rejuvenation process and having a layer on top cannot only stop it, but it will instead speed up the aging process. So, invest in a good makeup remover that takes out all the trapped makeup and dirt from your pores and finish off with a moisturizer to avoid having cracked skin.
Keep yourself hydrated
While you sleep at night, you are barely drinking any water for 8-10 hours. Imagine not drinking water for that long when you are awake. While our body is resting and we are only breathing, our body is still doing some kind of activity and that can leave us quite dehydrated.
So, it is important to keep a water bottle with you on your night table and not only drink water before going to bed but drink it in little quantities in between the night as well to wake up feeling full of energy and hydrated.
If you cannot drink water in between the night, then make sure you drink enough before sleep and when you wake up, drink up plenty of lemon water to cleanse your system, give you a kick of Vitamin C, and get you metabolism going. This will help make up for the water that you did not drink for those 8-10 hours that you were asleep.
Overnight serum and creams
After the age of 16-18 is when our aging process first begins. This is the time when we should be investing in good skincare products rather than spending heavily just on makeup products. We all need some serum or cream to keep our skin into shape and with such a bigger variety of skincare range available in the market, we are sure that there is something for everyone out there.
Lather up a serum of your choice or your skin type that tackles your skin condition onto your face overnight. You should also apply an overnight eye cream every day because our eyes are where the aging process first starts with.
Applying these things onto your face at night is the best because that is when your skin is naturally repairing itself and you are the least likely to touch your face at this time. Most importantly, all of this will help you wake up looking beautiful so that you have to put in the minimum effort to get ready in the morning!
